cc-01-warehouse-pallet-spill A pallet of drums high on the racking has been leaking, and a wide pool of clear liquid has already spread across the polished concrete of the aisle before anything else happens, with no wet-floor sign, no cone and no barrier anywhere in frame. A worker in a hi-vis vest walks up the aisle at an ordinary pace pushing a pallet jack stacked with cartons above chest height, so the load blocks their view of the floor immediately ahead of them; they are looking forward, not hurrying and not distracted. Their leading boot lands squarely in the clear liquid they could not see, that foot skates forward out from under them, the trailing leg cannot take the weight, and they land hard on their backside and elbow and slide a short way on the wet concrete. The loaded pallet jack rolls on a few feet and stops against the racking. They lie still a moment, then push up on one elbow.

Video Lab selects from the complete published B-roll catalog for both horizontal and Short videos. Match each beat's actual subject before seeking visual variety.

Vertical derivatives 112/112
The short format is its own file, not a crop taken at render time. The masters above have published 1080×1920 derivatives below; the producer only offers a clip to a short once that file exists, so this count is the size of the short-form library.

| Rule | Every short reads a published vertical derivative, never a 9:16 crop taken at render time. A clip is only eligible for the short format once its derivative is published and linked, which is what video/assets.json records as the master's `vertical` key. |
| Derivation | Each derivative is a full-height crop of its 16:9 master scaled to 1080x1920 with lanczos. The crop is horizontal only; no frame is dropped and no speed is changed, so the derivative keeps its master's duration and its approval. |
| Centring | The crop centre is set per clip from the subject at impact and recorded on the derivative's asset entry as shortCropCentrePct. It is not the frame centre: across the library the subject sits between 20% and 78% of source width, so a fixed centre cut would lose the subject in most clips. |
